and she wanted to say to
everyone out there that has sent
cards, letters and packages to
the troops that it really means
a lot to them and how much her
fellow Marines want to thank
everyone for being so supportive
of the troops. Monty

TSGT. Joseph Young recently celebrated his 37th birthday. He and our daughter married just after Joe graduated from Lithonia High School in 1984. Debra and Joe were high school sweethearts. They were both in the marching band (she played clarinet and he was the lead trumpet). I don't think either of them ever went out with anyone else. After graduation, Joe enlisted in the Air Force. He knew what he wanted to be and immediately went after his future. Joe was a "lifer" from day one. His duties have taken him to Korea, England, and from Georgia to North Dakota and back. He is currently stationed at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, Georgia. He and his group were deployed to Iraq "to serve and protect" for however long it takes. He is the father of Joseph Christopher, 17, and Sarah Kathleen, 15. Both attend Cook County High School in Adel. Debra
is a
"paraprofessional"
teacher at Cook Elementary
School. I don't think that we
could have gone out and found a
better son-in-law. Joe is a good
man. He's a hard worker and a
God fearing family man. Judy and
I are very proud of him. We all
pray that all of our men in
uniform will come home
safely. |
